Kemah Edgewater Hotel

This hotel has everything you need for a stay not far from Space Center Houston and the Kemah Boardwalk. It was much nicer than I would have predicted based on the price, making it an unbeatable value. My double queen room was spacious and clean with a minifridge and a microwave. Art was tasteful and modern. The bathroom was clean and featured a tub shower, an essential for bathing children but getting harder to find. The rooms have thick walls: next door there was a tantruming toddler heard very clearly in the hall but for which no sound at all could be heard in my room. The room had thoughtfully placed outlets and light switches, better for charging all my devices than some brand new ones. Housekeeping came daily. The TV had a large number of quality channels, some other hotels have slimmed their choices of late. There was ice and vending on each floor, also getting harder to find these days. Pool was clean, the perfect temp and as an added bonus has late afternoon shade when I was there. Landscaping of the property was a nice touch with palms and flowering brushes. Breakfast was cold options only but with Coffee, tea, milk, orange juice, cereal, instant oatmeal, bagels, toast (with cream cheese butter and jam), muffins and most days had bananas. To boot they have an astronaut autograph on the wall in the breakfast area, makes it feel special. Also their suggestions of area attractions and restaurants was a nice touch. Wouldn't have found Frenchies without it. At the price I was a little concerned that it would be filled with long term residents but it seemed to be only travelers.

Clean and good sized room with good bathroom. Nice staff, mediocre breakfast with no healthy options except some apples. Very good value for money and close to NASA/Houston Space center. A very good Greek restaurant, Athena’s at walking distance. Visit Papa Delta’s BBQ for best BBQ in the area.

We visit family in Seabrook every year and have stayed many places there. This place was the best ! Beautiful water views. The room was HUGE!!! So clean, nice pool, the staff was one of the best things. They were so nice, welcoming, and inviting. Very nice people. My 6 year old rated it a 10 out of 10! This will be the ONLY place we stay from now on when visiting Seabrook.

The gentleman at the front desk was very kind to our boys. He brought them some blankets for the pull out couch, and gave my oldest some paper to draw on and a book to read. When the TV was not working he came immediately and fixed it so we could eat dinner and enjoy a movie.

The location is great! The renovations and newer look is very nice.
